Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do I need an appointment?

    Yes, we want to give every bride the attention she deserves and we can only do this by giving her exclusive use of our boutique for the 1.5 hour appointment.

  2. How far in advance should I start bridal shopping?

    You can never start too soon, but we advise brides a minimum of 6-8 months if they intend to order a new dress. Our designers generally work on a 12-16 week basis for delivery and we advise 8-10 weeks for fittings with a seamstress.

  3. What is your price range?

    Our collections range from £1,200 to £3,500. We also have a beautiful selection of sample sale dresses which are priced from £500.

  4. What sizes do you stock?

    The majority of our dresses are a UK 12 however we also hold a capsule collection with dresses in UK 14, 16, 18 & 20.

  5. How many people can I bring to my appointment?

    Due to the nature of our boutique (we are on the bijou side!), we recommend a maximum of 4 guests in addition to yourself.

  6. What should I bring for my appointment?

    We advise wearing minimal make up and nude/pale underwear. We have a small selection of shoes from UK size 4-6 but please feel free to bring your own.

  7. When do I pay for my dress?

    On ordering we request a 50% deposit with the remaining 50% due when your dress arrives with us, which is usually 2-3 months before your wedding.

  8. What happens after I order my dress?

    Once we have placed the order we will receive notification of when delivery is expected and will update you so you can book in with a seamstress. We will contact you again once your dress arrives with us to book you in for a Completion Appointment so you can your very own wedding dress on and we will make notes for the seamstress.

  9. Is my dress made specifically to my size?

    Generally we order your dress based on measurements compared to our designer standard size chart. Bespoke made to measure sizing is possible with some of our designers, but this will incur an additional charge. We however prefer to err on the side of caution where appropriate and order a standard size which will then be tailored by a trained seamstress.

  10. Do you have a recommended seamstress?

    We have two recommended seamstress: Boutique Alterations, 48A Bramhall Lane South, Bramhall, Stockport, Cheshire, SK7 1AH and The Sewing Room, 68 Banks Road, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 0RH

  11. Do you stock bridesmaid dresses?

    Yes we stock ReWritten and Maids to Measure.

  12. What accessories do you stock?

    We have a few one-off vintage pieces but are also stockists of Helen Martin Veils, Victoria Percival, Sash & Co, Marie Canning and Debbie Carlisle hair accessories,
